God is moving in a wonderful ways in Ethiopia, God is reaching the people of Ethiopia through Local people as well as International, I am so thankful and blessed to see the work of God here in Ethiopia, saving many from eternal death and bringing them to eternal life. What a purpose that God has created us for. What a blessing its to share the good news and being part of the Great Commission.

Please continue praying for e3missions in Ethiopia and its activities that’s getting vast, working in partnership with Ethiopian Kale Hiwot churches.

e3missions, primarily focused on evangelism and church planting, in addtion there are activities taking place, wheelchair distribution for Northern part of Ethiopia, eyeglass clinics, HIV/AIDS awareness using AIDSCube and others.

We pray all activities to open the door for the good news while helping in physical needs.

Eyeglass Clinic + Evangelism

img_0292.jpg

It was a wonderful week of outreach, thank you for those of you who have been praying for the eyeglass to pass through customs free of charge, … actually we didn’t get it for free but it was a fair price and God helped us a lot. Well I have a lot to say from this trip, but in short “It’s always miracle and New to see when people life change”, It’s the holy spirit, just you speak the word of God and you simply see when God is changing them. Isn’t that AMAZING!! We did the eyeglass clinic in two sites and the rest of the team going door to door sharing the gospel, I was on the clinic sites and just people were coming and coming continually, the reading glass was their need but also God helped us to share  the good news which will open their inner eye, to see the plan that God has for them, the free gift, Salvation.

North Ethiopia (Tigray, Mountains of Adwa)

adwa.JPG

Can you see those chains of mountains in the picture; it’s a mountain where Ethiopia defeated Italy at Adwa, Tigray in 1896.  Well, … let me Stop the history here,

It’s one of the sites where we visited with Rick Eisemann of e3, last year November, 2006. Its almost 800 km from Addis. Very far, right? and I am sooooo… excited that I will be there in Adwa & Axum area with Rick almost the whole summer!!

Please be praying about this area and for God’s protection… Almost very fresh, needs more prayer before doing any outreaches. And I am thinking, Its God’s time to reach the Northern part of Ethiopia.

Thank You for Praying!

Missionary Samuel

samuel.jpg

Samuel was born and grownup in south west part of Ethiopia a place called Dallocha. He was born and grownup in Muslim family, after he came to Christ he always wants to serve God and tell the truth especially for those people of Muslim background. During his prayer and preparation to be sent as a missionary, God gave him a beautiful wife and 2 children’s (boys) were born. After many years God opened a door for him to serve the people group called Silti, Silti is a Muslim dominated area and found near to the area where Samuel was born, the Silti people call themselves they are Arabs who lives in Ethiopia. Samuel sent to this area by the support of our Local church called West Addis KHC.   After one year of his stay in Silti area, one of his sons died of bad illness.  But at that area (Silti) there is no place for Christians to bury the body.  They struggled a little bit and found some place and buried the body.  After 2 days some of the people who are against of the gospel (who hates Samuel)  took out the body from the ground and put it in front of his house, …. That day was the day that Samuel’s heart broken. He got hearted sooo.. much that he couldn’t even cry.  That day the ministers and officials were visiting the area for different investments and heard a rumor about the bad action taken by the area people, and after that moment the government assigned a place for churches/Christians for funeral services. And after 3 years of their son death, again Samuel lost his wife, she died when she gave birth to the last baby,.. and also the baby died after 2 months.  I am writing down this after I talk to Samuel last Sunday (March 4, 2007), .. he is at our church compound surrounded by church people, telling him that they love him, and want to support him. Currently Samuel is living with his 6 year old boy.  I learned a lot from Samuel, … even when I talk to him, .. he  was keep saying “where can I go from the Lord, he knows everything”. …What a Courage and Faith on the Lord!!  After a few weeks Samuel is planning to move back to the same site with his boy. Please keep praying for Samuel.
